- Geography Program
- 1970's:
- Cartography part of core curriculum
- Aerial photography, photogrammetry, remote sensing, and digital image processing introduced
- 1980's:
- SYMAP, Tektronix graphics terminal, digitizing table utilized in instruction and projects
- Custom digital mapping applications developed for archaeology lab by geographers
- 1990:
- first copy of (PC) Arc/Info acquired & installed
- 2000's:
- Geograqphic Science curriculum revised
- 1970's:
- University Level Events
- 2010:
- Provost forms task force to make recommendations that would lead to strengthening offerings and capabilities in offering courses and other learning opportunities that use GIS as a tool. (see Resources tab to download the report).
- 2011:
- Provost forms steering committee to continue dialog started with the task force and plan for future activities.
